Capital Markets: 5 Best-Performers at Bucharest Stock Exchange in Q4 2024
In the first month of Autumn of 2024, Antibiotice S.A. posted the highest growth in reference price among the companies listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, rising by 12.58%, according to the monthly report published by Bucharest Stock Exchange. Antibiotice S.A., a Romanian pharmaceutical company with nearly seven decades of history, is the largest domestic producer of generic medicines and a significant exporter, operating in over 30 international markets. Its majority shareholder is the Romanian Ministry of Health (53%) and its portfolio of 160 products is recognized in countries with highly regulated healthcare systems, such as the USA, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Spain and Poland.
Bittnet Systems S.A. Bucharest recorded the second-largest increase in reference price on the main market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, rising by 9.94% in the first month of autumn. Founded in 2007, the company primarily focuses on IT training, offering the most extensive portfolio of specialized courses in the country, with over 1,500 courses. Listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in 2015, Bittnet now includes 12 companies providing various technology services.
The third position in this ranking was held by the aircraft components manufacturer Turbomecanica S.A., with an 8.89% increase. With over 40 years of experience, Turbomecanica is the sole domestic producer of turbine engines for aviation and mechanical transmissions for helicopters. According to the Bucharest Stock Exchange, the company reported a net profit of 8.6 million RON in the first half of 2024, a 40% increase compared to the same period last year.
Infinity Capital Investments S.A., an alternative investment fund, saw its reference price grow by 6.69%, from 2.24 RON at the beginning of September to 2.39 RON at the end of the month.
The chemical products manufacturer Sinteza recorded a 6.15% increase in reference price in September. Active for over 100 years in Romania’s chemical industry, Sinteza aims to go green by next year. By 2025, the chemicals produced by Sinteza will have a Renewable Carbon Index (RCI) of at least 10%, rising to over 50% by 2035. More than 95% of the company’s revenue comes from international partners.
